Shweta Gujaran, D.D.S.
Dr. Shweta Gujaran is an experienced dentist specializing in aesthetic treatments, dental restorations, and general dentistry techniques. She studied with various dental programs all over the world before coming to Connecticut where she has spent the past few years working with patients in practices around the state. Helping patients achieve brilliant smiles is her life's passion, and she is delighted to meet and work with new patients as they start their journey to better dental health.
Training and Education
Dr. Gujaran studied first at the SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital based in Dharwad, India. From there, her education took her to Steinbeis University in Germany where she completed the DGI certificate course in dental implants. Following that, she relocated to the United States and continued her professional development at New York University, participating in the school's Advanced Standing Program for international dentists before going on to earn her doctorate of dental surgery from the NYU College of Dentistry. During that time, she also participated in a full-mouth rehabilitation program.
Currently, she is involved in a multiyear program at Kois Center, a prestigious Seattle-based dental education program that focuses and trains dentists on advances in aesthetic, implant, and restorative dentistry.

Aside from dentistry, she enjoys traveling, painting, photography, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

The Tooth Studio was the first office to call me back after I submitted an inquiry, and they got us in for cleanings within the week. The staff is friendly, the office is clean, and Dr. Shweta is excellent. They can answer insurance questions or find out the answer, which was a huge relief.
The cleaning was thorough...water/cavitron cleaning, manual scraping, polish, and a fluoride treatment. They also do X-rays plus a yearly wellness scan of your mouth to track changes over time. I've never been to a dentist that does that wellness scan regularly.
They're efficient too. I already have my dental guard ordered, and the recommendations were explained so clearly. This is a dentist we trust.
Bonus: a diverse team with a dentist of color, which is hard to find.
LOCATION tip: they're in the large office building with Union Savings Bank. Park in back and go through the back doors. They're on the 1st floor.

I brought both of my kids to my first visit (why I thought that was a good idea is beyond me 😂), and Mary Lou at the front desk went above and beyond. She actually took my oldest and stayed with him while I had my teeth cleaned. Such a kind and welcoming experience! Dr. Shweta is incredibly professional, friendly, and warm. My THREE-year-old also had a cleaning with her and did amazingly well because of how comfortable she made him feel. So happy we found such a wonderful, family-friendly office!
