The Tooth Studio Reviews
I had an appointment yesterday for the first time and I was so pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. First of all, walking into the office does not feel like walking into a dentist. Instead, you feel as though you are walking straight into a beautiful modern spa. Jennifer was absolutely incredible, especially when I vocalized my concerns with how the dentist typically makes me feel... (SCARED! lol) She really talked me through it and was so kind and understanding. She made sure I was comfortable during the x-rays and I even got a warm towelette which smelled like peaches to wipe my nervous sweaty hands LOL. The best was also realizing there was a flat screen TV on the ceiling to watch during the cleaning, as well as Bluetooth audio sunglasses to wear so you aren't blinded by the normal dental equipment/lights. They played classical music that made me want to fall asleep (in a GOOD way, so calming). Dr Gujaran was SO, SO sweet and you can tell she really has a passion for her profession, as well as her patients. She explained everything she was doing thoroughly and even had time to do a filling for me on a tooth that was really bothering me. Overall, the best dental experience I have had thus far and that is really saying A LOT considering how horrified I normally am to visit the dentist. Not to be dramatic, but I can't wait to go back! 10/10
Although this was my first visit to The Tooth Studio, I knew Dr. Gujaran from her previous dental office and decided to follow her when she opened her own practice. Today's visit was for X-rays, cleaning, and oral evaluation, and I plan to visit The Tooth Studio for checkups every six months, as I have full confidence in Dr. Gujaran's ability and integrity.
I don’t typically leave reviews but if I could give this place 6 stars I would. I’m not a bot and I’m not some family friend of the owner. I’m just a dude from Florida who moved here and needed to find a new place to get cleanings. My wife and I have been to several places throughout the years for our regular cleaning and this one is by far the best we’ve been to, hence this review. The last two places in Connecticut we visited before this were a disappointed. The first place said I had 9 cavities and that my wife had 8. It sounded odd since my wife and I get regular cleanings and can only ever remember having one cavity as children. We went to a second place for another opinion and they said we had no cavities, which we had trouble putting faith in as well since the place was not exactly hygienic to say the least. Finally we arrived at The Tooth Studio. They were extremely profesional, clean, honest, respectful and checked in on us regularly, asking if we were comfortable. The office and work stations were clean and stylish. You can tell a lot of thought went into making sure this place is comfortable for their patients. They clearly explained the condition of our teeth, and gave us options and recommendations. They were sincere and considerate which is, unfortunately, hard to find these days. It was also nice to see how well the staff got along. In other words the vibes were immaculate. I can’t see why anyone would regret going here. (In case all that wasn’t enough of a selling point there was also a tv on the ceiling I could watch while they worked on my teeth.)
Every person I met in the office was courteous, friendly, and professional. They really took the time necessary to do everything right – and as a new patient took some really good time to get to know me. Dr. Shweta Gujaran did a wonderful job with the x-rays, cleaning, filling, and crown. Great dental experience! Thank You!
I have been a patient of Dr. Shweta for a few years now. She never fails to bring a smile to my face (aside from the amazing dental word she provides). She is a very kind, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable doctor. She takes the time to get to know her patients and genuinely cares about their wellbeing beyond just the dental practice! I have gotten Invisalign, x-rays, regular check ups and dental cleanings, and more with her. All have been successful & easy to navigate Mary Lu (the office manager/front desk) and her assistant Jennifer are also incredible and have created a very easy, and enjoyable experience every time. They are caring and kind and communicate very well. And last but not least, the space and the amenities of the practice actually make you feel like you’re having a spa day. I was so relaxed in my appointment. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shweta and her amazing team for any and all dental needs. They are truly the best!!!!

Who Should Get Dental Cleanings?
The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends patients schedule professional dental cleanings two times a year. Babies should get a dental exam before their first birthday and following that, Dr. Gujaran will help you determine when your child is old enough for their next dental appointment. A cleaning may prevent cavities because plaque buildup, the biggest reason for tooth decay, is removed. A dental cleaning will also address tartar and stains on your enamel. If you would like to brighten your smile, freshen your breath, improve your oral health, and avoid spending money on more expensive treatments, make an appointment for a dental cleaning at The Tooth Studio.
What Should I Expect During My Visit?
Your dental cleaning will start by addressing the plaque and tartar buildup from your teeth, which can be difficult to treat on your own with just daily brushing and flossing. Advanced equipment is used to carefully scale buildup without harming the tooth. To start, a device with ultrasonic technology loosens bigger areas of tartar and plaque with a lubricating mist and high-speed vibrations. Then, a fine handheld instrument such as a scaler or curette will be used to remove any remaining buildup. Every tooth will be individually scaled to get all the tartar and plaque. After the teeth are clean, the enamel will be carefully polished to remove stains. If needed or requested, a fluoride treatment will be completed following your cleaning.

Dental Cleaning FAQs
How often should I get a dental cleaning?
It's recommended to have a dental cleaning at least twice a year. However, depending on your oral health status, The Tooth Studio may suggest more frequent visits to ensure optimal dental health.
Will I experience pain during my dental cleaning?
Most patients at The Tooth Studio report little to no discomfort during dental cleanings. Our team takes great care to ensure a gentle, yet effective, cleaning process. If you have sensitive teeth or gums, let us know so we can tailor the treatment to your comfort.
How long does a typical dental cleaning take?
A standard dental cleaning at The Tooth Studio usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes. This duration can vary depending on your oral hygiene condition and if additional treatments are needed.
What can I expect if I haven't had a dental cleaning in a long time?
Your dental cleaning at The Tooth Studio may take a little longer if you haven't scheduled a cleaning in some time. Your hygienist will remove plaque and tartar buildup, which may be a more involved process if there's been a significant accumulation. You might experience some discomfort or sensitivity, but the cleaning will help prevent gum disease and other dental issues.
How should I take care of my teeth between dental cleanings?
To take care of your teeth between dental cleanings, brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily to remove plaque between teeth, and use an antiseptic mouthwash to reduce bacteria. Avoid sugary foods and drinks, and schedule regular dental check-ups to monitor and maintain your oral health.
How does good oral health support better overall health?
Good oral health supports better overall health by reducing the risk of serious conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory infections. Healthy teeth and gums can prevent the spread of harmful bacteria that can enter the bloodstream and affect other parts of the body. Regular dental care promotes a stronger immune system and overall well-being.
